Call for Educational Session Proposals
Viristar is accepting proposals for educational sessions at the Adventure Safety Conference, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, October 9-10, 2027.
The Adventure Safety Conference provides a professional forum for industry leaders and practitioners to discuss standards, share knowledge and collaborate on advancing quality and safety across the global adventure sector.
We invite experienced professionals to submit proposals for sessions that provide valuable insights, present research findings or case studies, support policy and standards development, or otherwise improve risk management in adventure experiences offered across recreation, education, tourism, therapeutic, travel or allied sectors.

Session Details
- Breakout Session Length: Breakout sessions will be either 60 or 90 minutes in length, inclusive of presentation and participant discussion.
- Suggested Topics:
- Standards development
- Incident case studies
- Evidence-based practices
- Safety regulations
- Innovative tools or techniques
- Geopolitical and climate risks
- Legal considerations
- Emerging technologies
- Session Format: Formats may include lectures, facilitated discussions or interactive workshops. Sessions that include an interactive component (such as discussion, case study analysis or other participant engagement) are preferred.

Review and Selection Process
Proposals are reviewed by the Adventure Safety Conference Committee and conference organizers to help ensure the conference program is high-quality, relevant and balanced. Selection is based on the following criteria:
- Speaker experience and subject matter expertise
- Clarity, quality and depth of the session description
- Clearly defined learning objectives
- Relevance and timeliness of the topic to the regional and global adventure safety communities
- Contribution to a diverse range of perspectives, sectors and professional roles
Presenter Benefits
In recognition of their contribution, accepted speakers will receive:
- USD 100 discount on Adventure Safety Conference registration
- USD 200 discount on an exhibitor booth
- Recognition in the official conference program and website, including name, session and organizational affiliation
- Opportunity to share expertise with an international audience of leaders, practitioners and service providers across the adventure sector

Registration and booth discounts are non-transferable, apply only to the conference at which the speaker is presenting, and hold no cash value.
